Family Movie Night this Saturday is still on!
Our community has been through so much in the past couple of weeks. The road to recovery is long and the work of meeting our community’s needs will continue. But in times like these, coming together in person can bring much-needed healing and support. That's why Family Movie Night on the Square - Disney's Coco will go on as planned this Saturday, October 12th, on the Downtown Morganton Historic Courthouse Square at 7:00 pm.
Because electricity on the square isn’t usable currently, the screening will be powered by generator, and although Burke The MEAL Mobile food truck won’t be able to join us, Hot Shots Espresso Morganton will be set up behind the square with warm drinks and limited snacks available for purchase.
Come as early as 6:00 pm to pick your spot on the lawn, and grab your blankets, chairs, and your favorite movie snacks, and bring the whole family out to join us for this special community gathering. The movie will begin at 7:00 pm. We can't wait to see you there.

Join us for a FREE family movie night on the Historic Courthouse Square in Downtown Morganton hosted by Burke County United Way!

The featured movie for this event is Disney’s Coco (rated PG) which will start at roughly 7:00 pm* and runs for 1hr and 45 mins. Bring blankets or chairs and the whole family to sprawl out on the lawn!

English captions will be part of the viewing experience for the deaf and hard of hearing.

No pets or alcoholic drinks are permitted on the premises during this event. Public restrooms are available below/behind the stage area.

Join us on Friday, June 21st, from 10 am - 12 pm at First Presbyterian Church Morganton's Fellowship Hall, which is located on the far left side of their campus, as is the entrance. Parking is available on the left side of the building as well as in the back. (100 Silver Creek Rd Morganton, NC 28655)

Volunteers will help package 800 feminine hygiene kits - small zip toiletry bags with 8 to 10 hygiene items - which will later be distributed to local organizations and schools. Volunteers will be required to sign a general volunteer waiver upon arrival. Participants must sign up to attend this event!

Join us on an adventure and support families in Burke County. Burke’s Amazin’ Race is a team-based community scavenger hunt across Downtown Morganton, on Saturday, April 13, 2024!

Teams of 3-5 members, aged 21 +, will compete to collect clues, take on fun challenges, and adventure through our community from 3 pm to 5 pm, ending with an Afterparty & Awards Celebration from 6 pm to 8 pm.

This event supports Burke County United Way’s STRONG Families Initiatives.
